Title: il Maestro
Post by: Gary Pearce on February 09, 2013, 09:00:36 PM
One of the finest moments I have had in this lifetime was to have the opprtunity to be in the seat once ocupied by the greatest ever GP driver Fangio. I have managed to collect much memorabilia photos and books on the great man and a highlight for me and many was the visit of his Alfetta 159 to our shores in 2010.
Imagine my surprise when one of my good mates uncoverd this video of the Maestro driving my most favorite special car the Giulia GTC. Come on Bruno, Mario or Marco.....give us the translation, because I'm sure I can hear him mentioning my name? Oh and by the way it is 1966 not 1956.

Nice video Gary....

Wow isn't that banking something else.... the little GTC seemed to handle it quite well.

I think at the end he says,"This car is a gem so put one of these things away now....Coz Alfa ain't making anymore!"

Cheers,

Paul.

He's talking about the Pirellis and says he's never had a production tyre with better road handling

He asks, "Do I look cool in these goggles?"

I just commented on YouTube:

Narrator: "Winner of 78 Grands Prix,
Five times World Champion,
Juan Manuel Fangio on the track at Monza
tests the Cinturato Pirelli,
Secure, Fast, Grippy, Flexible"

Fangio: "Extraordinary Cinturato Pirelli!
I've never found an ordinary production tyre
which has a better grip on the road"

Narrator: "Cinturato is only (from) Pirelli"
