159 DPF removal & EGR blank- This seems to be a really common practice in the UK with many workshops offering the service.
I'd love to get it done to my 159 1.9jtdm auto in Victoria as i drive a hell of a lot of KMs and believe the extra fuel economy would more than pay for itself. I'm also concerned about all the gunk going into my engine via the EGR valve.
Just wondering if anyone has had this done or know of any workshops who offer it and if so a ballpark figure of cost. Ideally having the DPF replaced with a pipe rather than hollowed out.

Correct.
No workshop* will do this work in Australia as it's illegal to modify emission controls with very heavy penalties for businesses and individuals caught doing so.
If it has been done, it's been done by owners or their mates who don't mind getting their hands dirty by doing it themselves.
*on the books or with a receipt.
maybe try a VW workshop... ;)
...the one with the monkeys and a few humans out the back in the testing booth... :P
