Title: Sunday Drive 4th December
Post by: Colin Edwards on November 29, 2016, 10:08:58 AM
Now that we have 300+ Alfas all looking and sounding magnificent after Sundays amazing Spettacolo, its time to get as many of these cars on the road where they belong.

This Sundays drive starting at Bundoora and finishing at Healesville will be the perfect opportunity to exercise our cars after displaying them on the oval at Wesley.  Featuring a short stop at Yarra Glen for coffee then a Picnic / BBQ lunch in Healesville, a quick blat around the hills of the Yarra Valley will be something to look forward to.  I hope to give the new Konis on the 159 a real test!

Babbo Natale and Cometa, Ballerina, Fulmine, Donnola, Freccia, Saltarello, Donato and Cupido will make a special once only appearance for AROCA prior to Christmas.  If you don't make it you'll miss out on sitting on Babbos' knee and whispering your Christmas wish!!!

Some great roads in and about the Yarra Valley and the weather forecast is perfect - fine / sunny / mid - high 20's.
Alfas, medium rare porterhouse and a glass or two of Cabernet - even more perfect!

Weather forecast still perfect - no rain 32°C.  Might give the porterhouse a miss and go with cold meats and a nice pinot.

Getting from Bundoora to Yarra Glen throws up a number of possible routes and great roads - ideal for the song of an Alfa.  South Morang?  Yarrambat?  Wattle Glen? Christmas Hills?

Looking forward to sitting on Babbo's knee!

Big thanks to Bruno for once again organising a great drive.

Nothing like a Sunday Drive touring around the hills  ending at a great picnic spot.

Cheers.
