Hi guys,
I am currently in the middle of putting an engine straight from a 75 2.5 into an 86 GTV6 however I have uncovered a slight issue - the GTV6 wiring loom at a 2 pin plug to go into the distributor while the 75 distributor has a 3 pin plug.
Has anyone else done the same and if so, how did they work around it?
Or at the very least, which of the three pins should I connect the two wires to?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks a million!!
Thanks for the prompt reply Sportiva, very much appreciated!!
I was actually worried that would be the case - the original engine was taken out by a mechanic that went into liquidation here in South Australia and unfortunately the engine was sold at auction rather than returned to the owner.
As a result, I haven't got the original distributor, hence why I was hoping there might be a workaround to get the hall type distributor to work without too much mucking around.
Might need to track down a GTV6 distributor then!!
