Title: 2.5156 V6 waterpump gasket
Post by: ken mcmillan on December 18, 2021, 10:16:11 PM
Bought a 156 V6 earlier in the year , log books show timing belt was done 7K klm ago. I have a water leak from somewhere around the pump. What I am seeking info on is, Is it possible to change the water pump gasket, without doing all the timing belt procedures? I will do the pump while Im at it as  its not clear in the log book whether it was done with the belt.

Hi mate the belt must come off to replace the pump. I strongly suggest replace the pump, belt and tensioner along with the idler pulleys all at once.

Cheers.
