Penrite manufactures Repco-branded oil to Repco specifications using the same feedstock.  The additives are significantly different.  The specifications differ.

Repco is not Penrite-branded oil in a different bottle.  Repco oil used to be made by Mobil, but again it was never Mobil 1 on the cheap.

I asked that question in the local Repco recently and pretty much got...

...for my answer. They are very honest about the product it seems.

It's still not cheap oil anyway and usually if you search between AB, SCA, Bursons and Repco [other depending on location] one will have a sale on a more desirable brand/oil for less.
