Title: 1750 Wheels
Post by: Gary Pearce on November 11, 2008, 05:25:53 PM
Buy or Swap.
What I am after is 4 x 105 1750 type steel rims and correct hub caps. Will pay the right price for any condition you may have, or if they are in good condition will swap for 14 x 6 Superlight alloys with good tyres if interested.

Hi gary
the 1750 Hubcaps are the ones that completly cover the center of the wheel yea? not the style that's held on by the wheel nuts?

You guys probably already know this and maybe its a question no one asked but just in case.......
The 1750, 2 litre and late GT Jnr steel rims look the same however those for the 1750 have 3 lugs around the centre to mount the 1750 hubcap - Yeah Colin the 1750 cap covers the whole wheel centre.

The 2000 GTV/ GT Jnr rims dont as they have the mexican hat looking centre cap held on by the wheel nuts.

Ive got both on my car  ;) (yeah someones done the swappo) let me know if you want pics posted

Yes you have got the story. Original 1750 full caps with the rims with 3 lugs. I have a friend that is buying Peter Ward's blue 1750 (Colin's Team member) and wants to loose the Minilites and go back to the standard look.

Have found 4 good wheels and caps now, so the 14 x 6 Superlight wheels will be for sale and on display at this Sunday's Spettacolo. The spokes are dark blue and would look good on a Blue or light colour 105. $100.00 each O.B.O.
