Hi everyone,
I've looked on Carsales and online at various places however I thought there may be someone in here selling, know someone selling or considering selling their 105 coupe.
I'm not looking for concourse but certainly after a very nice clean car with no rust and little to no work required.
Basically I just want to get in and enjoy.
Thanks for your time.
There's an automatic ex-Sth Africa GTV in the classified section: http://www.alfaclubvic.org.au/forum/index.php?topic=21481.0
Thanks Beetle, I have messaged the person selling. Don't suppose you know if it's easy to convert to manual?
Hi Martyoke,
Others here will have more knowledge than I on converting, but I don't believe it would be particularly difficult.
I think having an automatic 105 would be seen in a more positive light these days, plus originality is king, so I wouldn't commit to converting until I'd lived with the auto for a while. Upside is that if you break your left leg you can still drive it ;)
A quick search showed up these threads. Maybe also join AlfaBB and search there too.

Thanks Beatle, some good insight here
On the subject of autos - the manual is a hugely more rewarding drive than an auto. I found the auto a slushy, they aren't the joy of modern autos. The change was relatively easy - need to source parts, and chop the change lever tower out and the blank that covers the manual 'hole' in the tranny tunnel.
Just had a quick look on car sales and quite a few 2000 on there in the 60-000 price, no 1750>
I think if you wait a 1750 will come along at similar pricing if you prefer the 1750.
I have been watching the market for about 5 years and know for a fact that you will no longer get any 105 that is in the condition you have requested unless you spend the 50-60 price.- then upwards
I purchased a 1750 4 years ago and was dreaming that i would get a goer for 30.000
I waited and waited and after 6 months realized that anything in that price needed bodywork, mechanical and probably not driven for years.
I imagine that 30 dream would now be a 40,000. dream.
Just my 2cents worth so you know what you will be paying.
Thanks xitsurf, I ended up buying one. You were spot on the mark with the price range. I was happy to pay what i think was fair.
