Hi Guys
As part of the celebration at Spettacollo this year, the team is putting together a walk of 100 years including excellent examples of models through the years.
So what we need are some excellent examples of 116 series cars.
So I am thinking:
a Beautiful Alfetta GT
an Alfetta sedan that looks like it has just roared out of the showroom
a Giulietta as cute as the day it was assembled
and a GTV6/GP in all its mean and grunty glory.
So help me out here guys. The cars need to be in by 10am and need to be there until around 15:00.
Happy to receive PM's from people who would like to nominate their cars or if you know of someone with an excellent example let me know.
Catch ya
Shane
Hello.
There was a bloke with a red Alfetta GT Turbodelta who posted a picture of it previously at Como Park on the forum. Could be a good canditate for the list. Someone around must have a great GTV Grand Prix to add to the Historical Walk.
IN any event, I encourage you all now to pass the word around as we would like a good line up on the field for Wash and Shine entrants on the central field. THe prize for 116 sedans is always lightly contested so I really would like to see more of those cars out there to top off this 100 year celebration.
Cheers.
Hi Shane
I will certainly be bringing by Grand Prix along, I will make sure I am there before 10.00am so its available to you if you need it.
My car is far from concourse but it is a nice, tidy original example. Its been at Spettacolo the last 3 years, its rego is GTV GP. Having said that there always seems to be 3 or 4 nice GP's at the event!
Cheers
Alan
Alan, I was just thinking I should nominate your GP, but you beat me to it!
Scott
Thanks Alan.
I love your car :-)
If you can PM me some details I will pass them on.

Thanks for your comments guys, Shane I will send you a PM, Scott maybe I can catch up with you at Spettacolo.
By the way Scott, you inspired me to try to nail that petrol leak from the petrol cap, I think after months of trying I might finally have it sorted!!
Cheers
Alan
So that leaves a Giulietta and Alfetta sedan of the display ?
THere has to be one or two out there for display on the day ?
My GTV6 can be there all day, its in remarkable original condition, i may put the original wheels back on for the day (17" 147 wheels on it at the moment).
Regards,
Adrian
Alfisti,
Pristine or not, can Sheldon's Giulietta be overlooked?
They (Sheldon, his dad and the Giulietta) are about to embark on a venture that would make many of us pale, if not baulk! A rally from Brisbane to Darwin in a 35 year old car - my hat is off to them.
Mr Warhol said every one gets their 15 minutes of fame - I reckon they deserve much more!
Especially as it is all about sponsorship to raise funds for cancer prevention/research.

Surely, this is an avenue through which we can all assist the cause and hopefully support this mighty and worthwhile endeavour.
After all not all of us drive perfect examples, but we still love our Alfas.
Peter.
Thanks for the kind words Peter, but a pristine Giulietta should fill a spot in the 100 yr walk.
My shitbox Giulietta will have a special spot on the field at Spettacolo, with a display and a donation box, and with REO Speedwagon playing on a constant loop all day. I hope to raise some decent money on the day. As you say, it is a very worthwhile cause.
Cheers
Sheldon

My nomination for Alfetta sedan is Marcus Gordon. Car always look great.
Hey Sheldon
Would that be "Keep On Loving You". I was in the Gold Coast at a Microsoft event the other week, three blokes in an apartment, a few beers, back to the room at midnight - Max was playing Top 50 Power Ballads.
More beers and wines later we had to catch the No1 at about 04:30 ( i think from cloudy memory Bat Out Of Hell) but Reo was there around 03:30 and we were roundly chastised for our rendition by the 3rd bloke who went to bed early :-) Thats what you get for being a soft c%^k :-)
Can't wait to see it and donate some coin.
I'll get Phil onto him Barry.

Sounds like fun mate. Yep it's going to get pretty repetitive eventually, the only two songs of theirs worth playing are "Keep on Loving You" and "Can't fight this feeling". People will be pretty sick of those by the end of the day!! ;D :D ;D
