Saw on the TV tonite, Aston Martin driver dropped his car in for service work, got it back all ok, but with an additional 300k on the clock.
Must have been one hell of a test drive! :o
They were pleased, no?
15 years ago this slimey body repairer took my 164 home for the night I'm sure.
In for a quick ding repair I had filled the tank up the day before. On talking to him at drop off he tells me he rides a Harley to work and lives in an area about 35 k's away.
At pick up I noticed the trip meter pressed back to zero. A week late I filled up at 420 kms where I usually got right on 500 or a touch more out of a full tank.
Where do you reckon that 80k's went?
I could never prove it but it did teach me to take a snapshot of my odometer any time I left my car anywhere after that. Even having it valet parked (which I loathe doing)on the odd occasion.

The guy must have been away for 20 years.
Sorry, that should be additional 300 km.
