Giuilia to enter ETCR series refer to page 3 of TCR magazine. This will be a new category of racing which will be introduced in the not to distant future.

Would also be good to see someone develop a car for the DTM series so they can race the V6.

This is not official, but more than likely the Giulia ETCR project could use the new model v6 hybrid power plant production model being released in 2020 refer to link for details of this facelift model Giulia

I thought ETCR was limited to <2.0L four cylinders?

We have to wait until Feb 2020 to have an idea of what is planned for the ETCR series (refer to the following link of a recent article). The article provides some insight on the future direction of motor racing, in particular the adoption of electric and hybrid vehicles.
