Title: Sandown Sprint Data Snapshot
Post by: jimnielsen on October 11, 2006, 09:36:45 PM
Here are a couple of snapshots of data from the sandown sprint, comparing the same data from Malcom Bulls twin turbo Totota powered GTV and my Giulietta. The first is a complete lap showing speed as calculated by the GPS and also longditudinal acceleration, the second is a drill down to the Dandenong Rd section of the track showing speed and this time lateral acceleration.

cheers, jim.

Jim, it should be a tap on the brakes just after the road on the right hand side and flat all the way to dandenong rd.

Well to be honest I wasnt suggesting that you dont stay on the "black stuff"

Having said that, we want grass.

Just so you know when Scott and I drive the dulux around Sandown and even when dad drives the Ignis Car around Sandown we just tap the brakes after the road and and are pretty much flat the whole way down to the braking area and we dont have any downforce or good tires.

It is all about committment.  Using all the grip available, using all the road available, losing at little speed as possible.  Committment.
