Title: boxer valve gear
Post by: redalfaracing on January 10, 2012, 09:48:35 PM
knowing nothing about the sud/33 boxer engines, can anyone help me with valve sizes ( diameter, stem diameter and length) Do they have cam followers like the nord motor? If so, diameter.
I have a friend that is trying to get a golf motor to go better and is looking at options, someone told him Alfa bits fit straight in. Any one help?

The Volkswagon Passat \ Golf 1st series tappet shims fit directly in where the Alfa 33 shims go, and they are easily available and cheaper than from Alfa sources, but i don't know for sure about the tappet buckets, but i reckon, yes, Colin.
