It would be the weekend before this weekend gone. About 16-17th to avoid the square dancers.
I think Neil might be on his way back still. Next year the 6 hour is a week earlier. I believe the square dancers are always the 3rd week in Oct, therefore we will be the second weekend in Oct 2011 which I think is about the 7th / 8th because next year Oct 1 is a Saturday. But Neil will confirm.
Doug
Hi there all
Sorry for the delay in checking this, you all got the jump on me, was rather busy and distressed this morning, you will find out soon on why.
But to stop the incorrect information, I can advice the following, (sorry for not so clear on the weekend).
2011 Alfa Club 6 hr is on 15 and 16 October 2011.
Neil

RDA-EBC Brakes AROCA 6 hr website updated
http://www.aroca6hour.org.au/entry/
This is the invitation form attached.
Entry form and SR are located here
http://www.aroca6hour.org.au/entry/
Giddy up, cant wait!!
Entries are flying in, once all collected, considerations will be made for acceptance by the committee. In general, all entered are accepted.
All should know in about a week or so time.
Looking like a full field as expected.
Any Alfa club members looking to join a team, get in touch with me and maybe I can assist.
Looking for Alfa drivers (with an Alfa, of course) to join an Alfa team.
Contact me on neil_choi@optusnet.com.au or 0433 11 66 47
Neil
Updates on the event will be done shortly, just too busy.
But all teams entered have been accepted, pretty much full field.
Neil
Anyone wanting some practice prior to 6 hr event, MSCA has a sprint at Winton on 25 September.
I am planning to be there, not really driving but officiating. Might get a drive in if allowed.
Neil
Sorry, no updates due to being too busy with work and fixing car.
But all teams who have entered on entry release have been accepted, you know who you are.
Everything is moving ahead in good shape, committee has met regularly. No real changes to previous events' organization.
The main points are:
Safety: Flag infringements ie passing under YELLOW and RED, BLACK flag and others, crossing blend line etc, may result in one lap penalty and repeat infringements may result in exclusion.
Team Organization: car/race number/driver/dorian combination must be exactly as entered as per entry form and entry database. Any changes without notification or erroneous changes will receive lap penalties.
Scrutineering: Only one car per team is allowed to be in scrutineering queue, a bright coloured scrutineering card must be attached to windscreen to signify you are eligible for scrutineering. If caught without scrutineering card in the queue, a significant lap penalty will be imposed on the TEAM, that car will be relegated to scrutineering at a time NOT before 12 noon Saturday.
More will be mentioned in further supp regs and at drivers' briefing.
Neil
Still snowed under with work.
I plan on completing the entry list sometime this week or so.
But all those who rushed their entries in by due date were accepted.
A full field and all organization work is well underway and leading up to event smoothly.
Biggest change is the formation of a RACE CONTROL GROUP who has ironed out most if not all of the bugs in RC and track safety.
TRACK SAFETY is our primary concern. Any indiscretion will not be tolerate as all entrants are expected to be experienced drivers.
Regards
Neil

It is a fantastic get together to catch up, share experiences of the day's racing and share tactics (if willing).
Cheers and see you all there.
Neil
No, maybe this weekend or next, just need another 6 hrs of work on it to get it all done while doing car prep.
But all is going well from organizational front, last meeting this week to get us over the line.
Neil
Some changes for the 6 hr event:
Fire extinguishers: For caged and uncaged cars, fire extinguishers must be no more than 3 years old and fasten via a metal carrier.
Safety harness: Date stamp plus 5 years
In car camera: Camera must be fasten to mount by two points of attachment, suction cup mounts are not allowed, in or out of car. Affixed camera must be presented at scrutineering.
Any questions, ask me or our chief scrutineers.
If unsure, do not assume, just a quick call and chat will solve uncertainties and misinterpretations. It will make your day of competition much more enjoyable.
Cheers
Neil
we have a spare driver and car if anyone is short of one ,
escort sports sedan , consistant and reliable and ready to go

Results attached, haven't got time to do anything this minute but thought everyone would like to see results first.
Neil
Brilliant stuff Neil. Enormous thanks to the organising committee, officials, and competitors for making it such a brilliant weekend! Talking to competitors afterwards the common theme is how smooth and professional an operation the weekend is - a testament to the experience and hard work of the organising committee and officials.
Here's an italian flag (in the wrong order) of Suds as a keepsake! Forza Alfasud!
You're just gloating Evan over your huge success. Seriously though congratulations on your result just off the podium and the highest placed Alfa team.
Speaking from another perspective I have to say it was one of the most enjoyable 6-hr events I've ever been involved in. It was a real pleasure to work with a great team of officials and to see so many people having a great time out on the track.
After each event I say that was better then last years, Im not sure that I can say that next year, this 6 hr was fabulous good work to all that organised or made it happen

I think I forgot halfway through that it was a 6 Hour Regularity Relay and not a 6 Hour Race!
That was from contact with a cream GTV at Turn one wasn't it? The only panel damage we were aware of. Pretty good.
Well done to the E30 guys, there are always thereabouts in the results so good to see them on the top step. The MX5 and Mini teams are usually up the too, so well done on another place.
Righty o then. AROCA teams next year we need to pull our bloody socks up ;D ;)
Choderboy & Co,
Let it be known for the next 12 months Alfpa Racing is the first of the Monza stable teams ;D
no thanks to me
Brilliant event, as usual. The standard of driving seems to improve every year too, I guess that's because almost everyone that competes keeps coming back.
Thanks again to all the aforementioned organisers and helpers. Special thanks to Colin Thomas, yet again doing two days solid out in the sun doing track entry duties.
OK, Team Victoree did not end up in the top half but I concur with teammate Ray that this year was a really great event!
The weather was fantastic, the official side generally ran smoothly, on-track behaviour was good and safety car periods were sparse and short. Well done to everyone!
Everyone of our team cars only required fluids/fuel top ups over the entire weekend, which left us a bit of spare time to chat to other teams and really enjoy the event. The icing would've been a higher placing but there's always next year! :(
Thank you Team Manager Rob Dale and the other drivers, Mary Lee, Ray & Sue Pignataro, Kevin Nesci and Michael Ponchard and the helpers Teresa, Rhys and Mick for making another enjoyable 6 Hour.
Well, the team did have one win.. Mary took home the Ladies Trophy! ;D
Looking forward to next year!
Great day had by all. Is there going to be times posted somewhere for the sunday? I did a mad rush to get some rims on the friday to put road tyres on as the forecast was for rain. I was happy it didn't rain, but would have been happier to have r specs on. Congrats to all involved too.
Overall results and individual laptimes attached.
Analyse it to death and come back next year to do better.

I love you Neil.
I love you too Neil.
Were there any official photographers at the event taking photos of all the cars?
Thanks for another cracking event Neil and all at AROCA Vic, Team Rising Sun really enjoyed ourselves this year.
