Title: May 28th Drive to The Peninsula with Giulia
Post by: Gary Pearce on May 09, 2017, 08:36:22 AM
The drive to the Peninsula on Sunday 28th will have a Giulia theme with dynamic driving on well maintained roads and spectacular scenery. We welcome new Giulia owners as well as early Giulia custodians to enjoy this early morning run with plenty to do and see. All members welcome.
We will begin at the BP Service Station on the Peninsula Link Freeway just south of Baxter at 8.30 for a 9.00 am departure and head south on some of my favorite roads before arriving at Arthurs Seat Park  to inspect the new 'Eagle Skylift' https://aseagle.com.au/
A stop here is optional or maybe visit later this afternoon.
20 minutes further on there will be an opportunity to stop and explore iconic Flinders, grab a coffee and take a break.
We then continue along the Flinders Cape Shank Coastal road that challenges the Great Ocean road for the driving experience and scenery, before heading to Portsea for lunch.
There will be a choice of lunch spots in Portsea ranging from the Pier Cafe to the Stylish Portsea Hotel, or you might like to forego the lunch and take a tour of the Port Nepean National Park.
Alternatively heading back to the ambiance and charm of Sorrento Shopping Village.

A couple of days before our Drive to the Peninsula. Only possibilities of shows, but lots of room for additional drivers. We end up at Portsea Pub, but lunch is optional.

Hello Gary,

We're all sorted for this Sunday's drive.  Planned to give the 75 a run however the suspension is in bits.  The 159 will now be the weapon of choice.  3.2V6 standing in for the 3.0V6!

Great drive to the Peninsula.
Discovered more great roads not too far out off Melbourne.
A well organized and very enjoyable run.  Pretty well perfect weather was a bonus.

Thanks Gary!
