Title: Movember '08
Post by: alfagtv58 on October 24, 2008, 04:27:37 PM
Mo Bros & Sistas.

Last year the Branko grew the most hilarious Mo I had seen in some time for Movember (the month formerly known as November).  This year I rekon I can out do him.  Who else is up for the challenge?  I would love for Alfisti to form a team....irrespective of state lines (having said that imagine some of the photos we could get at Spettacolo in late Movember!!).

This is a fundraiser that we as individuals can really help and support.
All funds raised are split 50/50 between The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and Beyond Blue - The National Depression Initiative

i'll use it as an excuse.  Branko's efforts last year inspired me to diarise it for this year.

I wont register until next week so we can set up a team when you return from Winton.

;D shane wescott did a movember last year and couldnt wait to shave it off in fact it lasted 10 minutes past midnight on the last day of movember and it was, well, interesting, he managed to raise some money and had a laugh or two at the other two men that took part in it.

Cheers.

Boys,

I'm in for sure. I grew my first ever mo last year and pissed myself laughing every time I looked in the mirror. I'll do it again this year for comedy value alone.

Cheers,

Brent

Hi ,

It's Phil Baskett sending this email because this November I've decided to get hairy and grow a moustache for Movember.

I want to be an active participant in the movement that is changing the face of men's health. I'm also committed to tackling men's health issues and being proactive in the fight against prostate cancer... and I want you on my team. My team is called Oz Alfisti.

To join my Movember team go to http://au.movember.com/au/register and follow the steps. Once registered you'll be sent all the information you need to get donations and get growing as part of my Movember team.

You will need these details to complete your online registration:

Captain's Registration Number: 1700541
Captain's Email Address: alfagtv@y7mail.com
Men's health is a major issue. Did you know:

Depression affects 1 in 6 men....most don't seek help. Untreated depression is a leading risk factor for suicide.
Every year 2,900 Australian men die from prostate cancer and over 18,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer.
The money raised by Movember is used to raise awareness of men's health issues and donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and beyondblue: the national depression initiative. The PCFA and beyondblue will use the funds to fund research and increase support networks for those men who suffer from prostate cancer and depression.

For those that have supported Movember in previous years you can be very proud of the impact it has had and can check out the details at:
[ Fundraising Outcomes ].

Cheers,

Phil Baskett

More information is available at http://www.movember.com/.

Movember is proud partners with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and beyondblue: the national depression initiative.

I have had a lot of fun doing this over the last month and particularly yesterday preparing the attached......hope you get a laugh out of it (if you do get a giggle out of it and you haven't donated yet, you still can donate if you like...........hint!!)

Thanks for your support one and all, 'Oz Alfisti' has raised $410.30 so far, not bad for just the four of us.

Thank god I could shave this morning!!

Best regards,

Phil Baskett
