Title: The 75 Parts Weight List.
Post by: Duk on May 21, 2016, 01:03:52 PM
'cause I figured it is atleast interesting and maybe helpful....................  :o
Some comparisons are added if I have them.

Power Steering Pump - 3.5kg

Fan and Motor (no shroud) - 2.2kg
(14" SPAL Fan/Shroud 2.4kg)

Lower Control Arm with a ball joint and chassis mount - 7.2kg

24mm Front ARB with 1 LCA link - 5.5kg

1 V6 Exhaust Manifold - 4.4kg
(Custom made 500mm long, 1.5" primary pipe extractor - 3.1kg)

V6 Air Filter Box and Filter Element (no AFM) - 2.4kg
(BA/BF Falcon Box/Element - 1.8kg)

Bonnet - 17.4kg

Front Guard - 4.5kg

V6 Plenum Chamber and Throttle Body - 3.6kg

Standard Potenziata Wheel/Tyre - 16.3kg
(Series 6 RX7 16x8 rim with a 215/45/16 tyre - 15.4kg)

Front Impact Absorbing Bumper Bar (no mounts) - 17kg

Non Impact Absorbing Bumper Bar (no mounts) - 5.2kg

I've kinda focussed on stuff that could be replaced with other components that are lighter and/or achieve a better result for similar weight (like comparing the 2 fans). So I haven't weighed, say a cylinder head or the rear engine mount.
If others could add info about stuff they've weighed, that'd be great.

Yes, interesting.

I'll add:

269mm front disc (incl studs) - 6.0kg

front Brembo caliper (incl pads + pins + spring clip) - 2.8kg
(159 Brembo 4-pot caliper (incl pins + pads) - 4.0kg)

A few more smaller and lighter things.

Air conditioner compressor, mount and belt tensioner - 9kg

AC Condensor - 2.2kg

AC Drier - 0.925kg

Charcoal canister - 1.5kg

Horns - 0.685kg

Can anyone weigh the the brake booster, booster mount, brake pedal mount and cross over shaft?

Hey Duk,

I've got a booster with shaft and a pedal box in the shed. I'll try to remember to weigh them this weekend.

Cheers

Does anyone have a hood lining out of a 75 that they could weigh for me?
