Title: 1989 Alfa 33 1.7ie (8v single cam) - idle control adjustment missing
Post by: noel_tas on June 23, 2014, 09:33:18 PM
Hi All

I'm new to the forum and a first time Alfa owner living in Tasmania.

I own a 1989 Alfa 33 1.7ie (8v single cam) which I recently bought as a second car to zip around town – been a lot of fun, but I've encountered a problem I'm hoping the Alfa community can help me with.

I took the car to my mechanic for a tune up when it started to idle poorly, he advised he was having problems tuning it as it is missing the idle control adjustment (see attached photos – you can see it's been removed / blocked off by the previous owner).

Welcome any advice on where I might be able to source the missing parts...

Cheers

Noel

Hello Noel from Tasmania,
I cannot see any pictures, however if you google idle control adjustor, you might come up with one.
You could also try Monza Motors in Bayswater in Victoria, who may have what you are after or try the ebay 33 site and see if anyone is wrecking one, Colin.

Thanks for the lead Colin I'll follow up Monza Motors (I think the photo attachments are just waiting for approval) - cheers Noel
