While I am trying to adjust to normality,  I must give special thanks to all of those organisers and volunteers who worked with the Club committee to make this a sucessful event.

Also thanks to all those who travelled from all over Australia for the weekend.

I have not done the figures yet but we did have some great results:

almost 25 interstate guests, some with featured cars.
11 concorso entrants  - thanks to all the specialist judges and Ross.
75 wash'n shine entrants - thanks to Erica and Gordon
Bertone & Alfa design feature was most sucessful, thanks to Phil nash
Giulia and 2600 series displays - Phil again.
we handed out 200 showbags at the gate - Thanks Peter
With a full field,  for every car that left another came in - fun at the gate!
The trade displays owners said that it was the best car show - Thanks Greg.
Feed back from Ferrari and Maserati owners - How do you do it so well ?
Alternative layout giving the best option for all - thanks to Martin Sifredi.
Many new members joinging (some without Alfas) - thanks Anthony.

John and your crew

I tip my hat to you and your crew for the tremendous effort and organisation, well done, something that I could not do.

For your information, i did absolutely bugger all to help, but just show up without an Alfa and just walked around and enjoyed the day.

I wish to repeat Neil's congratulations to John and the Spettacolo team.

I think I've attended all the Spettacolo's since the Club started them in the early 90's, and I reckon this might very well be the best one so far.

Well done guys!

I'd like to add to the congratulations to John and the group as well. It was much more than I had anticipated and the best part for me was seeing some cars that I had only previously seen in books or photos on the internet.

This is the first time I've got to Spettacolo and I am planning on coming back. The Saturday night dinner was a great welcome and I met people who were very long term club members through to new joiners and some I had been wanting to meet for years.

Great day, but a long one for a couple of us from South Australia, who drove home afterwards. I got in at 11.15 pm SA time and just for the record, 18 hours driving time, approx 1,500 km and the Montreal averaged 29 miles per gallon.

Hi alll,

Thanks to everyone for making the day such a great event and thankfully the weather Gods kept their promise evn if it was a little 'sprinkly' for the  start of the day.

Enjoyed the drive to and from the event from Newcastle in the GT and it was fantastic to take away a Show and Shine trophy for the interstate visitors section of Spetta.

Cracker of a drive home to Newcastle the following morning and thanks again to the AROCA members who pointed me in the right direction to get her on the hoist the following morning to just check over the newly  installed suspension components before the lng trip back (no issues except a loose undertay fastening).

Looking forward to attending the event again next year with a number of upgrades and modifications to make her even more attractive to the masses (and of course myself!)

Thanks again for putting on such fantastic day and the display of both modern Alfas and the impressive classics was something to behold.

Regards,

Andrew Payne
