Hi all,

changing my headlights across using the motolite lamps (do a search for gtv6 headlight thread) and I just cannot for the life of me remove my driver's side high beam. The retainer screw appears to have been snapped in half and wont budge at all. My thoughts are that I'll need to drill the screw out...but then how will the new light secure in?

Does anyone know of somewhere I can get the screws? or any alternatives..

Cheers,

Christian

Not exactly sure what you are asking as if you snapped the retaining screw it should come out. There is 3 fixings, 2 ontop and 1 lower. Ontop 1 adusts the angle of the beam and holds the light with a spring clip, the other is a solid mount with no adjustment while the lower is adjustable via a pin from the light into a sliding block. Spray a bit of inox around the 3 fixings and leave onite. Worth a try.

Christian,

Noticed a thread on the American BB on fixing the grill after snapping off a rusted screw:
