Looking at the data we're unlikely to get any temps over 35 during the rally.  Although a few days of 31-32 could be tough on the poor little shitboxes.

When I had my fetta I was up that way and had 40 odd degree days, and I was on the road for 10+ hrs, cooling was all standard I rad a supercheap $10 mix in the rad and a bottle of wynns radiator treatment, softens seal and stops leak ( well somthing like that) and I never had a prob.
Am jelous of you driving a fetta, am very tempted to buy another, ( found one round the corner that has not moved in 6mths) thinking it could be real cheap now.

Getting pretty %&^ing excited now.  Only a couple of days to go.

Route map is printed.  Tow hook is solid.  All the rally tyres are fitted (thanks Greg!).  Wheel alignment done (thanks Moonee Ponds Tyres!).  We've test-packed the car and found all the right spares and tools to take.

A couple of beers tomorrow night to kick things off with the rally participants, then on the road Saturday morning.  For anyone interested in having a look, the cars will muster at the Melbourne Zoo carpark from 7.30am, departing at 9am.  Come along if you've donated.  Or donate and come along.  It's a good cause!

(edit: weird a couple of those photos came out upside down!  just turn your laptop over and it'll be fine)

Passed by the Zoo around 6:30am this morning. BMC 1100 going the other way decked out with SBR decals. Sad, so sad......hope they have the Dollies old water containers handy....

Good luck guys. I'm sure you and all the other Alfa drivers will have a ball.

As I was driving to melb from bendigo I was looking at oncoming traffic and saw the Alfa Train and if they heard a crazy bastard on the horn it was me. Good to see so many sofas in the field

Small update (sorry bit drunky) we're at the Innamincka hotel having beers. All five Alfas doing fine so far. Tough roads the last two days. Team fat boy has lost a rear exhaust section, Alfa will we get has a throttle cable problem, team trofeo lost a tyre on the rocks. Great effort! Two more days of tough dirt. Wish us luck!

So the two Alfetta's are surviving, good to hear, one of them would be due to careful and professional preparation, wouldn't it!!!!!!!

Go the Alfa's.

Evan just tweeted they have made Winton QLD, a rough 3 days but car is going well with only minor problems.

Between that and Colin Byrne tweeting from Targa.....i'm developing a healthy loathing of these mugs out having fun while I'm stuck at this desk.  ;D

This video looks great! Coverage of all the Alfas include great interviews.

A few comments:

1) How did Bruno's legs get so white?
2) How come when they interviewed the "Alfa will we get" team, they didn't interview Brad...
3) How come we didn't get to see Brad's haircut

No doubt all will be revealed on a future club night!
