EMR - March

First race is at 9am on Sunday (or Saturday for Matt

) ... I'll scout a route on the weekend that isn't as boring as Monash / South Gippsland / Bass ... with the intent on passing near Tooradin/Mt Eliza.

If interested in a 7am departure from metro area, or a 8 am departure from Tooradin PM me with your home suburb (I'll try to centralise the departure point as I'm not thrilled by the start time myself).

How about where the Club has met previously - at the "Pelican Cafe" , on the left over the bridge on the way into Tooradin.

Plently of car parking & a lovely spot to meet up at 8.00 am.

Only problem with an 8am start from Tooradin is that it will be very crowded at the gate into the track at Phillip Island and could then be a problem getting to the club display area and setting up.

Errrrr, I think we started with an EMR for March didn't we? abd I think an EMR to Phillip Island was being planned? Any thoughts.

I would suggest a very early morning run if you plan on getting to PI in time for the start of racing and or to beat the crowd. 7am start from Tooradin would be my suggestion for a start time.

Any convoy starters interested, I will be at Tooradin at 7.20 for a 7.30 departure.
Should gets us there comfortably by 8.30, first race starts at 9.00 Our Club set up is in a perfect position on pit straight about 10% of the way down. Good vision of MG (T10,11 & 12) and the start of the straight.

O oh. I guess you guys were thinking of Sunday. I was there at 7.30 this morning? All on my lonesome. Still I managed to get to the track early and had enough time to put an extra coat of polish on.............JUST BEFORE THE SKY OPENED UP!!!!

I think Evan put the moz on us.
Anyway EMR. like Phil, I will be on a short leash tomorrow, as I have just had two days already at Phillip Island so Nerine and I may be arriving a bit late tomorrow. Probably be passing through Tooradin at about 9. Bugger.

Just got home from PI and i'll second about the skys opening up. Just a tip for those going down tomorrow. If your looking for a bite to eat on the way home i could really recommend Tides Bar & Restaurant . It is located on the other side of the road to Pelican Cafe about 100 metres east ,closer to PI.
First shop or so as you come into Tooradin.
