One of my (soon to be killed :-)) children gave my Q's mirror a hard knock and it pooped out. It is now in two pieces (mirror and stalk) and I can't work out how to get the swivel ball back in. Do I have to attack it from the mirror side and unscrew the ball first? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Joe,

If I understand correctly the mirror has just popped off the swivel ball? If so I believe you simply push the mirror on the ball and it should click back in place.

So Andrew, I should just push harder? :-)  Am I being too gentle?

Hey Joe,

Yes, I pulled mine off and was able to push it back into place. It is a tight fit but some WD-40 should help. Also I found it easier to pull the stalk off the car. Just pull it down towards you and it should unclip, it is held in place with a spring mechanism as seen below.

When pushing the swivel ball in place, wiggle it around a bit whilst applying pressure. It will eventually click back.

If they are the same as the 75, which by Andrew's picture they appear to be, I needed to push very hard. Strangely it was easier to take off than put back on.

Thanks guys, I'll give it a go tomorrow, the stalk came off as well, so it should be easier to do :-)
