Goldfields Chapter Run to Clyde Park Vineyard, Lethbridge

As we have been reading in the latest ‘Cross + Serpent’ magazine, our Goldfields chapter is a busy little group of “Nuggets”, so it’s long overdue to get together for our first official Alfa Run for 2022.
On the recommendation of our wine aficionado (and mapping coordinator), John Coco, we thought a back road run to the wonderful Clyde Park Vineyard would be just the ticket.
(The date selected is also after Mother’s Day and before the Election – perfect!).
As we need to lock in exact numbers for lunch, RSVP to goldfieldschapter@alfaclubvic.org.au ASAP with your names and membership numbers to join us on this Goldfields Chapter drive.
Tour Itinerary:
9:30am: meet at Expresso Depot in Buninyong for coffee.
10am: Head off around Mt Buninyong towards Edgerton then turning south and heading to Bungal Dam for a photo opportunity.
11:00am: Continue through to Morrisons and Meredith. Lots of wind farms.
Then take ‘Meredith to Russell Bridge’ road through Stieglitz and the national park to Lethbridge.
12:00pm lunch at the Clyde Park Vineyard at Lethbridge. This is a large, popular winery overlooking Moorabool River valley. If it is a nice day, we could possibly sit outside overlooking the valley so bring some warm clothes.
PS – All roads are bitumen and not very busy.
After lunch we head back via Midlands Highway or a route of your choosing.
