Alpine Chapter MERENDA 15th September 2012

This year we will be touring up to Whitfield for our Merenda. Meet at Sam Miranda winery, Milawa at 11 am for coffee, then tour up through Whitfield to Lake William Hovell: Black Cockatoos, good winding roads and scenery. We will then travel back to the famous Pizzini winery at Whitfield for a picnic lunch and tasting of their excellent Italian wine varieties.

I'm back from an intensive training course on the wines of McLaren Vale and Barossa, ready to taste the s**t out of the wines of the King Valley.
Good to hear that there are a few Melbourne cars coming to Pizzini for lunch; there's even a 105 travelling down from Sydney! Pizzini tell me that there will be tables & chairs, shelter and barbecue facilities for us.

Those who can join us for coffee please note that 10:30am is now the time to meet at Sam Miranda wines.
