I've just replaced the rear driveshaft donut on my '76 Alfetta GT, again :(  and wonder how many transaxle Alfas have the same arrangement as mine. My car has a small spherical bearing on the end of the rear section of the driveshaft.  This bearing locates in the centre of the donut. Getting the spherical bearing into the housing in the centre of the donut is not fun. This time I made up support plates to keep the bearing in position while pulling the donut onto the driveshaft studs. Do many transaxles have this design?
