Wow.. I must have a go at this one day. Great stuff, I had my foot mashed into carpet watching that

The 105 in the lead (end) appears to be super quick.. pulling away most every time
Why/how does it's 4cyl (assumption) leap ahead faster than the six (Shirley more torque etc?)
Appreciate this may be a gumby by question, but I'm just surprised..
And can I build my TS the same way :)

More?!??! Don't be stupid......it was more like a 50/50 ratio :)

Maybe I should be put in 2 stroke class.

Not as exciting as Mick's footage, but was still a good run.

Wow - my piece of crap actually sounds alright from outside!  Didn't think it was even audible from another car...

Stephen Aarons

Trust me, it's audible, that pop when you changed gears scared the crap out of me!

Yep - turns out when you grab 4th instead of 2nd the car decides to plow straight ahead for some strange reason.  Who knew!

And I loved the bit where I passed Seby too.  Even better was when I saw him at the timing tower later, and he was still trying to work out how he'd been passed by a '4 cylinder' GTV  :P!

Steve

You should have vision of that last run between you, me and the Jacobs 75?

Argh. Youtube is still corrupting my uploads. Recompiled ffmpeg and all its libraries, tried 3 different codecs, in combination with 3 different containers, wasted about 800mb of upload bandwidth, and no change. I give up.

This clip has the problem, but isn't too bad - a quick split screen comparison showing a lap from July and a lap from Sunday. The idea was to show the difference the rear suspension tweaks have made. Corner exit speeds are generally much better, even though my lines are still pretty cr*p. Also confirms my feeling on the day that for some reason top-end acceleration is down. Hope I haven't got an incipient engine issue....

Sunday lap is on top, July below.
