Was 75 Recaro interior available in Australia?

Just wondering whether the Recaro interior was fitted (even as an option) to any Aus-spec 75s. It would be nice to hunt one down. Mind you, I plan to retrim my interior in leather, and I could have the foam on my current seats bolstered accordingly.

Another alternative I'm toying with is buying some non-75 front Recaros to work with. Would, for example, the GTV seats fit? Or anyone have experience with changing seat rails? I haven't had a chance to check the seat rails on the 75, to know if they can be easily unbolted and transferred to another set.

Authenticity of the material/leather is not important to me, as the car will not be rebuilt as a concourse vehicle.

Who do you mean in "sydney"? Are you referring to the Recaro distributor?

Didn't the Potenziata come with Recaros seats?  Or was that just the front ones?

Claude Botti or maybe Michael has a full leather Recaro interior in one of their Potenziatas.

They are a heavier seat since i had a set in 33 16valve.

I believe botti's car might have bruno's (black 75 v6 with chrome simmons from a few years ago. Number plate was AR7588 for those who remember the car) old seat's in there if they are the black leather trimmed ones.

Cheers. Yeah, I found that too. :)

Though I haven't found anything definitive about fitting Recaros from a different vehicle into the 75 (eg: out of a Honda, VW, BMW, etc). Just in terms of interchanging the seat rails, width/length of the base, etc.

At this stage, I'm undecided about persuing it too hard. I want 'leather. So even if I bought a Recaro interior, it would be retrimmed. So, it seems better value to retrim the existing standard seats (and doors); and at the same time, I can have the trimmer add extra side-bolstering to the front seats. I think this is the way to go for me, but I haven't discussed it with the guy I will use to do the retrim yet.
