hi,

I bought a 2003 156 selespeed about a month ago from a dealer. I've been driving the car a lot to pick out any faults I can find so that I can get them all fixed at no cost to me whilst it's under statutory warranty.

I just got them to pay for the cat converters to be replaced and the mechanic told me I should get the 'starter motor' wiring cleaned or fixed up because it may cause me problems in the future. I was told that when I start the car the start-up ignition sound isn't exactly right. He said it was a job for the electrician so he couldn't do it.

Can someone shed some more light on this issue? Even though I'm not paying, how much $$ does a stater motor fix cost? How long should it take a mechanic/electrician to fix it because I can't afford to be away from my car for too long. I'm hoping it's a small job (1-2 hours) so I can just wait around.

Thanks
