Hi All

Just started to revive my 1979 Alfetta GTV 2000 after 5 years in storage
I'll take some better pics when I have sorted the brakes

Welcome and we hope you join your local club so as to have some excused to get this car out on the road and seen.
What are your plans? - restoraiton, Group S, road registered club day track car?

Plenty of people accros AROCA OZ with experience in these cars so you will have a wealth of support if you have any issues or needs.

Last year I  brought  a 1979 GTV back from a 16 year sleep. Hugh Harrison at Monza Motors has been really good  source to help with  some of those hard to get missing parts ( ie a twin spark motor ). He has all the other bits to.

hoping to get it road registered ASAP, will be joining AROC NSW division shortly
Have replaced clutch and brake master cylinders
Putting new seals in calipers at the moment
got a set of braided brake lines
replaced dash with one without cracks
installed 123 ignition
I'm after a set of lowered, firmer rear springs at the moment

Got some new rear springs
All the brakes are now sorted
fiddling with the curves on the 123 ignition to get it running a little smoother
just fixing rust in spare wheel well (only thing that was a problem on the Blue Slip)

Nice! 
I owned a 1979 Alfetta GTV and it simply dissolved into a pile of rust in my driveway.  It was riddled with tin-worm.  I've currently got another 1979 GTV Group S car and when it was completely stripped it showed very little rust which has of course now been completely removed.

They are fantastic cars and you should get many years of enjoyment from it.

Its only got a few bits of rust
Someone had put a rubber mat under the spare and I think this held in the moisture

Hi all

All is now sorted, Registered on Historic plates
coming down to Phillip Island on the 13th and 14th
anyone out there got the 123 ignition in there car, what curve are you using?
mine is pinging under heavy load, running on premium unleaded

that is a no brainer ! resounding YES from me ! The car looks fantastic and that little bit better with the serpent !
