All the Foley ones were 8V TS 2.0 as far as I know. Never heard of a V6 version being here, but not to say there isn't a privately imported one.

I've considered an engine swap many times, but talked myself out of it. Once my 75 is finished, I may look into it again. Easier for me, already having a car; I would import a V6 from the UK probably (expect the shell to be rusted and useless though) for the conversion. Or look at a 24V 3.0 conversion, using a local engine; would still need various upgraded pieces from a 155 though, like front steering/brake components, gearbox, shift linkages, etc. Having a 12V 2.5 V6 for some parts plus add a 24V 3.0 engine would be the ultimate for me, but probably a $10K project.

I love the Alfa Romeo Boxer and 4 cylinder engines but it is V6 or nothing for me these days, also better to be able to store parts for just one type of motor, i almost was going to buy a 155 in NSW a few years back, it was red rego KJS 155, not sure where she is now, yes the UK ones do rust but i am sure you could track down a good one if you wanted to import, looks like i will have to grab one of the Australian ones one day and swap a V6 in, 24 valve no, big and fancy, fastest and best power but too much maintenance and they go down too easy, i would just throw in the all round good, plentiful 12 valve V6 2.5 or 3.0, 10k no, most Australian 155 sell for around $4000.00 to $5000.00, throw the motor in yourself, $6000.00 worst case, parts a plenty overseas  :)

Who purchased the 155 that was on this forum at Coogee a few months back, think it was a dark colour?

One 155 was burnt and the shell was auctioned a couple of years ago, was scrap metal only. I believe this may have been the red one which was mentioned in this thread as being on carsales.
Forum member 116GTV was selling one a couple of years ago in Black. I was very interested but unfortunately life didn't work out that way for me. I don't know if he still has it.
Shiny_Car still owns the car he posted in this thread.
There was also a green car advertised quite a while ago now.
I purchased a Blue 155 a couple of months ago in NSW. It's now in Victoria and I have a pile of parts waiting to be fitted so the car is ready for roadworthy and re-registration down here.

My plans are to slowly restore it to as close as possible to how it left the factory floor (within reason) - I don't feel the need to play with it much as I have a 75, 156 and 166 as well, although a set of the 15" Q4 pepperpot wheels would be nice eventually.

I have been meaning to give Foley Alfa a call and see if they can shed some light on overall numbers. This thread might be the impetus I needed.

Yes that was the black one, Martin was selling it, photo attached, who ended up with that one, where did it go?

If you contact Foley let us know on here what he saids, also question him why he did not import any V6s  :)

Put up some interior photoes of yours if you ever get the chance  ;)

I was about to close the deal on buying that car for my daughter when the owner informed me that it was stolen and burnt whilst he was away for a few days. It was very disappointing, because we were looking forward to getting it. As far as I know, there were 12 of them brought in by Foley's. There was a grey one here in Adelaide about 4 years ago, that I was looking at, but I didn't need another car at the time. That went to Victoria, I think.

I spotted a green one around the corner from my work a couple of months ago

Nice. And very interesting because that is the later model 'wide' 155. This has slightly different profile wheel arches front/rear, which accommodates slightly wider track at the front. Rear badges are in the original 'lower' positions (earlier 'skinny' cars had badges higher, on the boot lid), and it's a 16V 2.0, which is the major difference.

So it could be a personal import rather than one of the Foley batch.

There was a grey 155 a few years back in Avalon NSW, i knocked on the guys door one day to see if he was interested in selling it, he was a large man and obviously in the middle of a meal (he had food all over his beard!) so i didn't get much out of him. I noticed a a year or two ago he now has a base model Golf so not sure what happened to the 155, i don't think he was much of an Alfisti so anyones guess why he ended up with it or where it ended up!

Wow! Not real keen on the colour but would not mind the owners details so i could make a offer :)!
