Removal of bonnet skin

Know the weight?

I'm looking for areas where I can remove material for weight gain (loss) for a track car.

Don't ruin a good steel bonnet if possible, get a fibreglass replacement.
Check with Monza in Melbourne perhaps...years back somebody had the mold for them and there was a few around on cars.
