No, but not a lot. ABS provides some very basic info of registered vehicles by make and there were only about 23000 Alfa Romeos registered in 2013 and that number crept up by about 1000 through to 2018... Obviously plenty of older (or not so old) vehicles being deregistered. ABS estimates attrition at about 4% / annum (overall - no comment on what might atrophy faster).

Doesn't really help with your question but it might be of interest to someone.

Was looking at this yesterday. The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries, which publishes VFACTS, has all the data but charges a fortune for their monthly sales reports and will slug you god knows how much for a tailored report with the info you are chasing. Plus you have to agree not to republish or share the info.
Now:    2002 156 GTA
            1981 GTV
Before: 1999 156 V6 Q-auto
            2001 156 V6 (sadly cremated)

Would be nice to think so, but I doubt they would drop the restriction on sharing the info.

Is it just me, or are the asking prices of current secondhand 159s going upwards?

They're more expensive than last year, when I picked up my (then) 54k 2.2JTS Ti for around $11,000.

Nowadays, there's only 28 159s for sale on CarSales.com.au

But as for the original sales from dealers when new, not sure. I'd like to know too!

Comparatively, it'd be interesting to compare to the new dealer sales of the Saab 900 Aero, which I used to run around in. Just curious.
The only problem with the GTV6? They forgot to install the flux capacitor...

Out of interest, Wonder how many 159 3.2 Q4/Awd Ti's were bought/ sold into Aus. I remember a post which said only 100 GTA 3.2's Busso's were bought in originally. Not too many 159 3.2 Ti's for sale!
