Hi guys.
New member, seeking advice from those who know.
I have a 2012 Giulietta QV.
Is it better to get the chip reprogrammed, or to buy one of those after marked re-programming chips?
Any advice on adding a sports exhaust?
Cheers.
Shane.

H Shane,

I had a fairly long conversation with an ex Zagame Automotive technician at a Fiat Car Club event.
Can't remember his name but he specialises in "tuning" late model Abarth's, Alfa's and Fiats.
He could be a member of the Fiat Car Club.  Contact Bill Freame via the FCCV web site.  He may be able to put you on to the bloke in question

With regard to the exhaust, might pay to investigate replacing the existing cat/s with say a 200CPSI equivalent.  The existing cat/s are probably 800CPSI.  The cat/s are probably the most restrictive device in the exhaust.  Not sure if the Giulietta has more than one though.  Never looked that hard at the ones I've had!
Fitting a loud exhaust usually doesn't do much for engine efficiency.  A less restrictive cat will possibly not make the exhaust much louder but could provide an improvement in performance for relatively little cost.  Sometimes need to "recalibrate" the ECU/EFI when changing cats though.

Top of my shopping list though would be a Quaife or Torsen diff plus polyurethane bushes for the front suspension and rear antiroll bar.  Need to be able to dial in a bit more caster and negative camber into the Giulietta front end.

Hi Shane
Further to Colins post, I have attached an article explaining remapping ECU at the following link. Additionally, I sent you a PM on several suppliers of devices for both ECU and exhaust upgrades if you decide to proceed with performance upgrades.

I think you may be referring to Leonardo Coco of Coco Eurotech in Thomastown. M: 0484 336 668.  He usually has a stand at our annual Spettacolo in November.  He specialises in ECU remapping, servicing etc.

Cheers
