Needing to touch up the colour on the seats, I enquired to get some tan colouring from a car leather specialist.  They said send us your VIN.

When I did, they checked both online and with a couple of Alfa dealers and reported back that from the Master file the colour of the car seat interior from the factory was black!

Only one owner previous to me.    So I don't know if the interior colour was swapped out or the Masterfile is incorrect.

thoughts?

Doubt if it was swapped out as that's a lot of effort & cost as you have to include the door cards as well.

Pretty sure Eper has the colour of the interior associated with the VIN, engine#, etc.
It had it for my 156, cant see why the 159 would be any different

Could have been that the original owner wanted a car with a tan interior instead of black so the selling dealer may have swapped it out from a car they had to make the sale.

It's not uncommon for that to happen so the customer doesn't have to wait months for the colour combo they want.

Ahhhhh right!

It was a "demonstrator" with a few thousand kays on the board when sold to the original owner, I think was said to me.  Maybe the tan just looked better with the red and the dealer did it that way.
