Geez that's sad.

It'd even be worth doing just enough to preserve it as is, as a piece of auto-art. I reckon the black skivvie crowd would ooh-aah if that was sitting on polished concrete in an inner city gallery somewhere.

The latte sippers and chardney critics would debate solar v coal and how best to recycle a pile of rusty metal, an Alfisti would see a neglected peice of classic alfa romeo .

That is a damn shame for a model of this rarity and beauty being left to disintegrate to the elements.

Let me guess, he is waiting for it to reach its maximum potential in price before he sells it.  ::)

This photo is 15 years old as you can see every year a little bit more of the car falls off. I could not find my original but I found my original photo resized (smaller) on pinterest and I didn't put it there.

Seriously, even if it was sold, by this time is there really anything there left to work with?  ???

Yeah baz
I can hear the head studs "ping" as they break when undone this engine would be a basket case as is the rest of the car.
Carlo
Legend has it that the owner was racing an Australian muscle car when something let go in the engine that problem was fixed under warranty, the car was then driven regularly untill a small amount of rust was found the car was then taken off the road to be repaired and it has not been driven since. That was more than twenty years ago when I first saw this car in another lakeside suburb on the other side of the lake.

cheers sportiva

Yes is a shame. I'd still like to pick over the carcass for my project.
