And of course there's AR353 Blue Procida introduced in 1973, seen on early Suds and Alfettas, which is very similar....

Thank you ..Yes it could well be that shade..I  have just settled my mind that the PO decided on a colour change during respray from AR348 to AR??? (French ? blue)

Perhaps they didn't choose to change to another AR blu at all and just went for something similar that the paint shop could easily source, replicate, mix up easily if damaged in the future... like any mainstream blue car available in the parking lot at the time (Mazda mx-5, Ford laser, etc).

When I repainted my 105 20 years ago I had real problems getting the correct match for AR348 Le Mans Blue. My car had been repainted before and the formulas from the major paint companies just looked wrong - I think one had AR348 mixed up with AR349, which is Periwinkle Blue Metallic! I did get a small panel off another car to match but ended up matching the paint to an original paint colour swatch from the Alfa Romeo paint code folder that I was able to borrow from John Swinfield, who was a salesman for Foley's back in the day.
