It doesn't remove the need for dialogue with idiots, but as a soothing companion/motivator you might find the following YT channels of interest, even as silent movies:

Trev's Blog
Vehcor
Arthur Tussik

I too reckon thats a repair rather than a replace.

Remove all the trim from the inside and push out as much as you can ... then fill.

The sculpting will take some meticulous care but its not impossible.

Far easier than removing the panel and welding a new one in, let alone the challenge of finding one.

Although Monza Motors may have a car they're wrecking.

I have a quarter panel coming from planet 105 in Melbourne  $1200 delivered for new old stock, that's better than the $3,000 + from Europe and the Americans who won't ship to Australia
I can push it out and fill it with 2 kilo's of bog or remove the damaged panel and weld in the new one.
I have the tools to remove the damaged panel and the welders and equipment plus the time to fit the new quarter panel if the bus companies insurance won't cover the cost of preparing the damage.

Planet 105 in Melbourne supplied the panel, Jon from planet105 packaged it and sent it off it arrived with no noticeable damage at half the price one European and a 1/3 of the price of the American who would not send one to Aus. After a good clean up and a rub down with some dry paper to remove 30 years of surface rust, I applied a coat of etch primer them primer filler and a top coat of AR530. This had more gloss than the matt black original coating and highlighted the slight dings the panel had collected over the years waiting for someone like me who needed a replacement panel. In no way do I blame Planet105 for the damage to this panel that has probably been moved around and repositioned countless times over probably 30 yrs. Jon at Planet 105 was on the phone providing me with all the information I needed about who was to delivery and a when I should expect it to arrive. When it was delivered he rang asking if it arrived without damage.
I am grateful and lucky that I was able to acquire this panel that will allow me to bring my pride and joy back to a condition I can be proud of. My GTV6 is no show pony and has pockmarks and dings all over it at least this should be the best panel on the car once it is installed has the dings filled and is painted by professionals.

What's the thing to the left of the fuel filler? Is it a rod or drain? Was it there or has someone added it?

Good pic by the way. I have disassembled a few of these but never had that panel off so nice to see what it looks like naked.
