Carlo, it sounds like a good idea and would just require enough interest for this to happen for the web administrators to act accordingly. It maybe along similar lines to the 105 register contained at the following link.

Carlo, there is also a 116 register on the NSW area of this forum but seem to have little to no  activity of late. Maybe a National register along the lines you propose would be the go rather than just posting of photos.
cheers

Sounds good to me - what info would we need to provide? I have obvious details for mine like VIN, dates of manufacture, import and first rego (and some basics from Marco Fazio), but most of the car's history is lost, and no way the mileage on the ODO can be correct (no idea how many times its been around the world!)

Bit of a nerdy question - Looking at the info from the first few to have registered their details, how does the AR VIN numbering formula work?

Is it simple sequential numbering of chassis as they rolled off the production line?

If so, there seem to be some other complicating factors - Bonno's '83 VIN is quite close to my '81 VIN (both show 301 followed by 4 digits) but they are way different to Festy's '79 VIN (which is 000 followed by 4 digits) despite a roughly two year gap sequentially between each vehicle.

Well spotted re Festy and Garibaldi.

I wonder if the 301 prefix designates the commencement of plastic-bumper series cars?
