Hi all - my mechanic is fighting the sagging clutch on my 156 and reckons the master cylinder is the next culprit to eliminate. I have one in my shopping basket at AlfaWorkshop in the UK but I wondered if anyone has a lead on something more local / cheaper / quicker to post.

(apparently they differ LHD vs RHD as well as engine type and model year)

Thanks bonno - that looks like it might be the RHD one, they have a longer pedal linkage I think?

The one from the UK:

The one on eBay looks longer:

I've bought from Guy, it was exactly as described in both goods and delivery.

Installed, bled, working beautifully thanks everyone. What a relief to drive.

My mechanic Steve rolled his eyes when I asked if it installed OK.

Really? Just rolled his eyes? No uttering of profanity or expletives?  ;D
