Worth watching this youtube series (first and final episodes of half a dozen posted) - guy takes a cheap 20yo 3.0L GTV and does budget mods to make an affordable track car he hopes  can match Nuvolari's winning lap times at the Nuerburgring. Nice for its lack of chest-out bravado nonsense. Its "car-modding for nice people"...

Poobah, great clip & story. First time at the  Nürburgring and its raining . That would surely focus the mind. Interesting commentary on the various "offs" he passes and their curb side status.
Track closed after one lap. So much for a sighting lap ,all the technology in the world can't save some nuff nuffs .

Cheers Paul. I love his running commentary on all the cars that overtake him, and then end up in the armco.
