As Neil said above - in addition to the regular AROCA Supersprint, we are hosting a round of the Veloce Racing Association.  We heard today that there are at least14 cars coming down from NSW and ACT, we should have a big grid of all-Alfa racing on June 9th.

Special note for Victorian racers: This round is going to be run under Veloce Racing eligibility rules - but the VRA have kindly offered some freedoms to Victorian cars that don't normally run VRA. The only essential rules for Victorian cars for this round are "Radial tyres – 15x7 for older cars (except group S) and 17 x 8 for modern front wheel drives". No slicks.

Wow - a great day's entertainment at Winton. Rain and sunshine. Big field of Alfa's in the race group. The epic battle of the two white Alfetta's of Selwood and Aaron's in Race 4 - Selwood for the win by less than 0.1s!

Thanks to the organisers and volunteers for their flawless management of the meeting.

What a ripper of a weekend of racing, well, Saturday, but then we stayed for dinner with the NSW folks and a great debrief and racing stories exchanged.

Once again, those to thank are:
Colin Edwards, Alan Morrison, Ross Flood, Evan Bottcher, Bruno Colautti, Malcolm Powell, David Floyd, Mandy Thompson, Nick Taylor, Paul Byrne, Steve Aarons, Tom Taylor, Sheldon MacIntosh, Max Lloyd, Leon Bogers and many others.

There was some drizzle, wet track to start off with, dried a little and continued to dry, making for some great track time from lunch time onwards.

Sprints were all happening, no major incidents as everyone adhered to the wet conditions and took it easy.

The Alfa Racing group took to the track with caution, only a couple of spins but not major off's.  Racing in the wet gave the advantage to the FWD cars, especially the 2L's.  Race 1 was wet, Race 2 was drying.  Race 3 and 4 and 5 were dry and the V6's took over the lead.

Great racing, lots of video around.  Come to club night and we will show some for your entertainment.

Once again, thanks to all the officials who helped out to run the show.

Cheers.

It was a fantastic day at the track and a great friendly atmosphere throughout the day between competitors. Really looking forward to racing with the VRA again.

A link to the in car footage from race 4 for those interested.

Hi Neil,
Looking forward to the video at Club Night.  The battle between the two white Alfetta GTV's (Vic V NSW!) was absorbing.  Great driving!!
