Guys,

Is this a series 1 1750 steering wheel?
It looks like its not real timber, but plastic?

Thanks in advance

Back then, the Italians were thermoplastic champs. Just think of all the piano accordions for one. Celluloid, deftly moulded and then buffed.

If you scrape a hidden area and the plastic smells like mothballs, I'd say it's ridgey-didge.

Not off a S1 as you correctly stated, it's not timber.

Probably off a Giulia sedan or an S2 1750 Berlina (with a different centre cap).

Cheers.

Looks similar to one I pulled off my '73 GT Junior
'66 Duetto (lacework of doom)
'73 1600 GT Junior (ensconced)

Here's an example of one in situ ...

Basically a 105 sedan wheel, centre caps can be changed with a number of others.

Cheers.
