Picked up these 2 beauty's today,

White is 68, 1750, Two owner oz del, low km's, original paint, best condition original body i have ever seen. Purrs like a kitten.

The other is a bare metal LHD, actually a good body as well, missing all hanging panels, missing front rh quarter and nose, i think it will be a great project, just not sure if i have the time to undertake such a project at the moment. I had to take her as well as part of the deal.

Thought i would share

Congratulations Dave
By the sound and look of it, what a GREAT acquisition. Another impressive car to add to your collection and if you decide not to proceed with the bare metal car as a project, there would plenty of prospective buyers that would be keen to purchase ;) ;).

Its actually very straight, my panel beater was very impressed with it, and he is not that easily impressed.

Other than the surface rust and a bit in the floors (came with new floors in a box), it is rust free, even has all the factory lead work, which answered questions we have always had regarding the seal joints under the doors, unlike 105 coupes, these were lead wiped from factory.

Thanks Frank,

It may come to that, i have to finish my charcoal South Africian, fine tune the race car, and finish the South Africian rep aswell as bits and pieces on the white round tail, Oh and run a business and raise a family at the same time (if my wife reads this, not in the above order 😜).

So its more than likely going to have to go.

Cheers David

Thanks Paul,

Its a hard one, panel beater said it will be the easiest restoration/ paint job ever as how good the body is, but it has wounderful patina, the paint is original, 50years of wear but original.

Interior has no tears.

For now,

Ordered new rubber mat set,
Putting the original, immaculate steering wheel back on,
Getting the original steel rims painted and putting original hub caps back on,
Get stainless steel work polished and dents removed,
And a detail, big service as its been sitting in a shed for many years.

Enjoy it as is, and maybe paint her in a few years.

Cheers

Dave sounds like the classic 'shed find', been sitting for years neglected, waiting to be rescued.

It'll come up a treat for sure.

Good luck, keep the pics coming.

Cheers.
