Whats the best cleaning fluid etc. to clean p/s components ( pump amd lines etc).

Brake cleaner, but the bulk variety with a pump spray bottle.

Looking at your rack in the other post, I suggest first carefully positioning the rack so you can lightly sluice out the bolt holes for the fluid fittings. Then plug them tightly with clean low-lint rag pieces. It'll stop other dirt washing in as you solvent clean the rest. (You could also buy matching thread stubby bolts and use them with the copper washers as more decisive plugs.)
