Hello Alfa Competitors,

Just want to get in touch with a few items for competition in 2018.

  • Please complete and send in your competition declaration (attached) as soon as possible.  We are recording when your declaration is received and NO POINTS will be awarded for events completed prior to receiving your competition declaration.
  • Alfa Racing is ready to kick off again in 2018 with two rounds at Winton in April and November.  If your Alfa is race prepared and logbooked, then please enter and enjoy the excitement of racing on an all-Alfa grid.  If you'd like advice on how to get your car prepared, minimum requirements for logbook and licensing then please get in touch.  It's the best value racing you'll ever get into.
  • In June we will host a racing round of the Veloce Racing Association (VRA) series at Winton alongside our Supersprint.  This event will be run under VRA regulations, please contact me if you are unclear on the VRA rules.
  • In 2018 we are trialling a new supersprint class called the Twin Spark Cup (T2) which encompasses limited modified 932 and 916 Series Alfas with only 2L Twin Spark engines, eg 156, 147, GTV and Spider 2L Twin Spark.  No V6 2.5, 3.0 or 3.2 or JTS or JTD motors.  We will publish regulations shortly.  This class is intended as a pathway for developing modern Alfa cars for racing at a state and national level.  Parity and low cost being key factors.
  • We are recruiting officials.  Our events can only run due to the generosity of a few who volunteer their time to officiate.  You can help - if you are not competing in an event, then please come along and be a volunteer official for the day.  Contact our Officials Liaison Officer Colin Edwards (Colin.Edwards@kone.com) or me.
See you out there on the track!

Neil.
