Hi Bought my second Alfa, this time an 147 TS Selespeed end June 2017. The selespeed is a fun piece of kit but which I am a little nervous about and last week got the system failure  ;D >:(. So I already have replaced the actuator... welcome to the world of Alfa ownership again. Selespeed was poorly maintenance by PO ....i.e. not at all.

I did have an Alfa 33 in 1990 in Europe on LPG! That was a lot of fun and now back for some more...

Cheers

I've come to be quite fond of the Selespeed. In fact I like the overt clackety-clack noisiness of it at low speeds!

Only time it caused fear was by default, car ran out of fuel unexpectedly in high speed multi-lane traffic and (of course) I could not clutch it in to coast towards the roadside. So - make sure your fuel gauge is accurate!

Usually the car is driven in "City" mode and left to make its own mind up for the shifts. I'm hoping this approach optimises clutch life.
