Hi Mike
The red Alfetta GTV6 is coming along just beautifully and your attention to detail in particular on the wrinkle finish parts is superb. I take it that the transaxle is in good condition, as no mention of O/H or replacement of clutch assembly has been made. The reason I say this is that I am shortly embarking on complete O/H of transaxle and clutch assembly as the dreaded 2nd gear synchro and transaxle wind is quite annoying and in fact a concern when taking her on long trips. By the way the white Alfetta GTV6 is also a stunner.

Hi Bonno,

Given I had not driven the car it was hard to say if the box was in good condition. However, I stripped the car once again as I found things in the paint I wanted corrected. So I took the opportunity to inspect the box.  So far the isostatic link has been replaced as the sheath dissintegrated upon removal. The diff mount has been replaced. Ive ordered a second gear syncro from Highwood Alfa in the UK as I assume it will benefit from replacement.  Now to pull it appart and take a look inside.

While the box is out I've decided to paint under the car also. Gee I hope I get to drive it one day...🤔

Paint corrections complete. Gearbox 2nd gear synchro and seals purchased. Better safe than sorry on synchro was the view.
Popped the stock wheels on which have been restored. Hard to get a feel for it was hen the box is out as it sits s bit high.  Im thinking I will probably lower her a little but would like to see how it drives first before doing that.  Also I note the stock rims sit in quite a lot...may space them out a little. Im going to sneak the Speedlines on also for some fun.
Anyway.. its coming together..just slowly.

Does rather.  Stock Aus, just minus a transaxle to keep the bum down.  Don't think I'll be able to live with it that high.
