Auto Italia Canberra this year is on Sunday 2nd April 2017 on the lawns of Old Parliament House.

The arrangements are largely the same as last year. People wanting to display their Alfa or other Italian vehicle should arrive after 8am and be parked by 10am.

Bikes and scooters cost $10 to display, and cars are $15 and upon registration will receive a parking permit for the display area.
Spectators are free.
If you wish to become a sponsor of the event or to run a stall you should contact the Italian Cars Association, ACT at vendorinfo@autoitaliacanberra.com

The Alfas are all together on the South Western grassed area like last year. Local AROCA members have volunteered to help arrange the Alfas into an organised display so please park where and if directed. A local SES group will be on hand to help manage traffic flow.

In the past there have a few problems with Auto Italia which I hope will be rectified this year.

The first is parking for Alfas. There should be ample but it always seem to be badly arranged, there isn't enough space and they end up all over the place.

The second is a recent phenomenon, the idiotic, late model supercar revoff, mostly from Lamborghinis. It was for this last reason that our usual group didn't bother going last year, the first time in nearly thirty years.

Great event , like  GG105 said a few problems last year and not as many cars.
can the toilets arrive before the show begins this time.
and can there be more food stalls !variety
and can there be a rule that NO one can leave (unless its areal issue) before 2pm
Last year the lambos started to leave at 11.45
whats that all about? we know the answer but we cant post it
So a little more discipline would be good and enforced and if they have to leave early ?dont come at all
Its dangerous OHS  ,rude and sends the wrong message to others who started leaving as well
destroys the event

Hi fellow Alfistis
I hope to be attending this years event and display my Alfetta GTV4 for the 3rd  year in a row. She just went through a 5 month refresh project which involved a complete respray, refurbished dash and seat repairs. One thing that would be nice is for organisers incorporate a swap meet/car boot sale to coincide with the event, so people can sell/buy vehicle parts for their beloved Italian vehicles/cycles.

Hi NSW Alfistis
With request to Carlos  query, there is definitely a convoy of AROCA NSW members going down to Canberra on the Sunday morning and unsure of the Saturday convoy at this stage. Contacted AROCA NSW delegate to confirm and advised that he will be raising this at this weeks club meeting and will detail  arrangements through the AROCA NSW website. It is recommended that if you plan to go down on Saturday you need to make your own hotel bookings in Canberra for the overnight stay.

Dear Auto Italia organisers,

Communication does not seem to be an Auto Italia organisation strong suit.

This is a direct question. Can you please advise:

1: How you intend to deal with hooligan behaviour from some sections of the Italian car community?

2. Can you assure those who travel many hundreds of miles to make the event what it is, that parking will be well organised, adequate and above all respectful considering that the most numerous attendees, the Alfas, Fiats and Lancias are actually the cars that make you most of your money, not the few "exotics" that have pride of place and seem to create the most trouble.

I won't hold my breath for a response...
