Hi everyone, Ive noticed that when my Giuletta 1.4 TCT is stationary, the revs go up as high as 1200rpm. Is that normal?

We had a 1.4 TCT.  Could be the aircon bumping up the idle.  Turn off the climate control and see what happens.

Thanks Dominic for your reply. Do you know of any body else who has the issue?

Hi everyone.
An update on the idle issue.
Took the car to Zegame, and left it there for two weeks.
After so many diagnoses, they replaced the ECU.
We thought that the issue was fixed. But wait. Driving home all is well, until I stopped for fuel.
When I switched on the car again, it started. Revs going up to 1300rpm.
Not happy. They've never come across this issue. That is why it's making it even harder to detect.
I'll keep you informed.

Given the Multi air system on the 1.4 replicates the functionality of a traditional throttle, its possible the fault lies with the Multi air.  If the inlet valve travel at "idle" is excessive the idle will be higher than required.  Have any engine management lights or codes been displayed?

I understand the multi air system is sensitive to grade of engine oil.  Not sure though if error codes will be logged if the multi air system does not follow what the ECU tells it to do though.  Then again the ECU should "know" engine rpm and if the rpm at idle is incorrect a fault code could be logged.

Do to revs remain constant at a constant "throttle" setting?

Thanks Colin for your input. I called Zegames, and they said to drive the car for a few days and see then if it still does it. Because they've changed the computer, it sometimes takes time for it to settle. So far all good. The car is running beautifully. I must add that the team at Zegames have been very helpful. Thumbs up to them.

Sounds promising.
The missus has her Giulietta QV serviced at Zagames.  Alex and the guy's there have always put in 100%.

Hope the problem is sorted.
